Howdy - I am a substitute teacher at the
neighborhood’s elementary school, which is perfect for my lifestyle at
this time with my schedule being the same as my kids. I coach volleyball
during the school year and swim team in the summer.
My husband is an engineer and travels
quite a bit overseas (Germany, etc). He also is a professor at Southern
Methodist University. He is very involved with Boy Scouts. They finally
talked him into being the Scout Master of our boy’s troop.
My oldest son is 16, need I say more! This past summer he worked as a lifeguard at a couple of different country clubs. He loves being in theatre and is a varsity swimmer. He is very close to finishing up his Eagle project for scouts.
My second oldest son is 14 and loves to invent and create. He is very involved with the Speech and Theatre group at school. He did the summer swim team program and is about to start his Eagle project in Boy Scouts.
My oldest daughter is 13. She is in choir, volleyball, and basketball during the school year and swim team during the summer. She is a practical joker ALL the time (which I love).
My youngest daughter is 11 going on 30. She LOVES school. Since she is the youngest, she still is involved in many things and hasn't decided what she likes the best. She plays soccer, volleyball, and basketball during the school year and swim team in the summer. She is in Girl Scouts and plays piano.
Gretchen is our newest member of the family. She is a nine month old German Shepherd pup. I feel like I am raising an infant child all over again.
My family is doing well. My mom and dad live in Maryland. They sell "can’t live without stuff" from about 7 or 8 stores along the East Coast. My brother is a lawyer married to a lawyer with 4 kids (1 boy and 3 girls) living in Florida. I have one sister who has 3 boys and with her landscaping husband, lives in Washington state. She works with autistic kids since one of her kids is autistic. My other sister tutors injured students who cannot return to school. She has a Coast Guard husband and lives in Maryland. She has 1 boy and 2 girls.
My motto from high school still remains with
me always. . . "It's all about having fun!"
